In the effort to make "Every Penny Count", I have began to utilize plug strip for my laptop and printer on my desk. Even when something is plugged in and turned off it is drawing electricity. During the day when I am working, I will hit the switch on the plug strip and work off of the laptop battery for awhile. There is no need to continuously be plugged in to work. Before then, my laptop was plugged in all day, as I use it all day working from home. There are other plug areas in my home that are on my "radar" to convert. I hope this will make a difference on our steadily climbing electric bill!
