Works for Me Wednesday - Spaghetti

I don't know why I never thought of this before, but it came to me as I was making spaghetti last week. Instead of trying to cut up the pasta into smaller kid friendly pieces after it was cooked, I did it before. When I was boiling the water, I heated up a small saucepan of water at the same time, broke up enough of the uncooked pasta for the boys and boiled it the same time the dutch oven was going for the rest of us. I was able to drain the pasta and put the sauce on and have it ready the boys quickly. No more waiting on Mom to cut up the pasta.

Check out more great ideas here on Shannon's awesome blog!

Sometimes the simple ideas strike in a moment of genius! Breaking up dry pasta is SO much easier than cutting cooked pasta!
