'Fro Me

I know this isn't the best quality as I took a picture of a picture, but I don't have a scanner. As my very first entry in 'Fro Me to You, I wanted to bring to you the "beautiful" bedroom that I spent my first 8 years in. Please note the of so beautiful floral wallpaper. Kind of makes you dizzy doesn't it? The vibrant sheets were part of my mother's collection straight from the 70's. She still owns them today as she says"They don't make them like they used to" After viewing this quality photo, anyone can understand my personal aversion to bright colors.

I had a carpet that would have matched that wallpaper perfectly! (orange shag ...)

Would this be why I love all things neutral...had the very same colors/prints growing up!

That is so me bright colors going on there... wonder how you were able to fall asleep. But you look quite sound asleep there!

Can't go wrong with black!! Bless your heart, those sheets with those walls were a bit... loud.

My mom did the exact opposite. I had a baby blue and white room. I am not neat enough to be a baby blue and white kind of kid. It just looked dingy after about 5 minutes.

Oh how all that is just screaming the 70's. Busy, busy, busy!

It's a wonder you slept with all that busyness going on around you!

So... I'm just guessing here... but is your home completely devoid of all floral fabrics?

Maren - I had to come back because I noticed your other blog. I wasn't sure if you knew that my daughter, the Tongginator, has a (now mild to moderate) form of sensory processing disorder. It doesn't compare to the challenges some parents face, but I wanted to share that with you. She responded really, really well to therapy beginning at 13 months, which changed our lives. I'd love to chat further if you want to e-mail me at tonggumomma(at)gmail(dot)com

Oh my. Did you have strange dreams with all that color? I think that would scare my kids! And just perfect for this little carnival!
