National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

In August of 2005, I lost a baby at 13 weeks. For some reason, miscarriage is a taboo subject, if it happens, you just don't talk about it. As the mother, you are crushed, yet no one wants to talk to you. I remember the nurse at the hospital handing me a booklet about miscarriage and telling me to forget about that day. I never knew my child, yet I did grieve, and I will never forget that day. Three monthes later I was blessed to become pregnant again with my youngest son.
In memory of the child I lost, I lit a candle tonight.

Facebook Addict

I have to admit, I have become a true facebook addict. I have a farm, 2 actually, a cafe, and island and a mafia. It sucks you in! Here's to hoping that NaBloPoMo makes me blog more again. I hope to continue with more series items, such as air travel tips, frugal hints, and maybe a child activity list. I am open to any suggestions!

Day in the life of a bored 3 yr old

One of the effects of having Ethan in school is that Landon is extremely bored. He has never been "an only child" Every day he tells me that he misses his Ethan. We have checked into preschool for him, but all require him to be potty trained, and well, I could write a book on how well that's going. (NOT) So, I am open to any suggestions that I can do on Mondays and Tuesdays with Landon while Ethan is in school. I did purchase some simple workbooks for Landon to start having his own "school" while Ethan is at school.

You pat yourself on the back when...

Three random strangers come up to you tonight when you're out to eat with the family and tell you that you have wonderfully behaved children.

Loving the little things

I always have to sneak in the boys room at night and re-cover them up, as they both sleep like wild men. Tonight, as I covered up Landon, he sleepily raised his head and said" I loves you momma" and fell right back to sleep. These are the little things that remind me that I love being a mom.
